5 Interesting Facts About Prince Philip

Updated: Jun 29, 2021

Hi everyone, as you may have heard already, Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip has passed away, this morning at the age of 99. Unfortunately, this will not be a cheerful post due to obvious reasons.

The royal family has a great impact on the world, and in this video, I wanted to give you five interesting facts about Prince Philip.

  1. He was a writer and had 14 books published on environmental, technological and other issues.

  2. He was the first member of the royal family to be interviewed on television 60 years ago.

  3. Prince Philip made 5,496 speeches between 1952 and 2017.

  4. His affectionate nickname for the Queen was “cabbage”. That sounds cute. Apparently, it comes from the French term “mon petit chou.” Which means my darling.

  5. His grandfather was a prince of Denmark who became King of Greece. I don’t know how it happened, but it sounds very interesting. It doesn’t end here. He was also related to kings of Prussia and emperors of Russia. The family name of the Danish royal house which his father was coming from is Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg.

There is nothing much to say at this point. May God rest his soul in peace and give the Royal family the strength to bear this irreparable loss!
